My Mother doesn't like the thought of a stranger coming into her home. How do I know that your caregiver is trustworthy and will take proper care of my family member?
Our agency invests a lot of time and energy in recruiting professional and friendly caretakers. Previous experience and references are always checked by Human Resources. We also do a thorough criminal background check and all aides are fingerprinted.
Can I interview your caregiver in-person?
Generally hourly aides are assigned after a telephone interview with the client, or family member. This process has proven to be mutually agreeable between aide and client. At customers request, live-in aides can be interviewed prior to start date.
I have long-term care insurance. Will the agency work with my insurance company to coordinate the paperwork required?
The agency has an established relationship with many long- term care providers. As a preferred provider, we will liaison on your behalf and process the necessary paperwork required to assure payment of your claim.
What if my parent/family member doesn't like the aide you send?
You are never under obligation to retain an aide you do not want. We aim for the “perfect fit” and will work with you towards that end.
If you don't feel the caregiver is right for you, for any reason or at any time, we'll replace him/her until you are satisfied.
Must I sign an extended binding contract?
Absolutely not! Arrangements are confirmed in an “at-will” agreement that can be terminated without fee at any time.
Who provides agency supervision?
Agency owners are “hands on” and participate in day-to-day activities. They maintain an active role in all policies and procedures affecting the business.
Will the agency conduct an assessment prior to rendering service?
Yes! At no cost to you, we visit the family member at the rehab or nursing center prior to discharge. This visit gives us a better understanding of the medical condition of the patient and is helpful in determining the selection of an aide. We can also learn about special needs or requests and it gives you a chance to “meet us” before we start service. Upon discharge, a Registered Nurse will do an in-home assessment and prepare a care plan for the aide to follow. A one-time charge of $75 is billed for the opening assessment. All future visits to reassess patient's needs are at no cost.
Are your aides bonded and insured and do you provide workers compensation insurance?
Yes. |
